BERILDA
Feadship | 2001 (2022)
Berilda is an exceptional yacht designed and built at Feadship, Royal Van Lent, in the Netherlands and meticulously maintained by only three previous owners since her 2001 delivery. The 499GT yacht underwent a significant refit between 2020 and 2021, which included the completion of an intensive 20-year Lloyd’s survey and a full dark blue exterior repaint.Berilda is a proven world cruiser, with a transpacific range of 4600nm when cruising at 10 knots. The current owner has recently traversed the Atlantic twice while exploring Europe, New England, The Bahamas and the Caribbean. The yacht’s Dutch quality is evident throughout, including the luxurious John Munford-designed interior, with raised mahogany panelling and pale soft furnishings. Accommodations for 14 guests, includes a full-beam owner’s cabin with a private study, an adjacent single cabin, and four guest ensuites which were fully refurbished during the 2020 refit.Custom built to her original owner’s spec and tastes as a full displacement motor yacht with global cruising capability, great care has been taken over the years to maintain and update guest facilities and amenities. In 2020, the entire sun deck was remodelled with a sit-up wet bar, Jacuzzi with wrap-around sun-pads, lounge area and speakers. Other works included LED deck lights, outboard sun shade umbrellas and an upgraded AV/IT system. Most recently, works undertaken in 2022 included new carpet throughout, Starlink internet, motorised shades and blinds throughout the guest areas and new turbo chargers on both main engines. The yacht’s two tenders are stored aft on the main deck, allowing for easy launch and retrieval. This storage area also quickly converts to an entertainment area for dining, lounging or relaxing out of the sun.Originally, christened Northern Light, Berilda enjoyed a decade long tenure under the ownership of her first owner Sten Tegner, a well-known member of the Royal Swedish Yacht Club. Her named changed to Mary A for nearly a decade before being bought by her current owner who has steadfastly continued the yacht’s legacy of care, while making the most of her incredible transoceanic capabilities.
