Since 1999, the Voiles de Saint-Tropez has enchanted sailing enthusiasts with a unique alchemy of beauty, tradition and conviviality. This year marks the 25th anniversary of this unmissable event, which attracts nearly 3,000 crew members from all over the world. From Saturday, September 28 to Sunday, October 6, the passion for sailing will breathe new life into Saint-Tropez, enlivening its picturesque streets, historic port and magnificent bay.
Eric Tabarly, a devotee of the Nioulargue, the regatta that gave birth to the Voiles, used to say that strolling along the quays of Saint-Tropez during the event was like "flicking through the pages of a maritime history book".
This year, the Voiles de Saint-Tropez promises a spectacular show both on the water and onshore. Residents of Saint-Tropez and visitors alike can immerse themselves in the event at the Môle Jean Réveille, within the Voiles village, around the port, and throughout the town's streets. The regattas in the gulf are easily visible from land, particularly from elevated vantage points such as the Citadelle or the church of Sainte-Anne. The harbour breakwater is also a prime location to observe the boats as they enter and exit the harbour, as well as to watch the starts of the Classics from the Tour du Portalet.
